Zingiber officinale
Tropical herbaceous plant native to Asia, cultivated for its aromatic rhizomes with culinary and medicinal applications. Leaves are long and elongated, with small flowers in yellow or white tones.
Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Requires indirect light and temperatures between 15-25°C. Plant the rhizome in spring and harvest in autumn when the plant dries. Fertilize regularly during growth.
