Vigna radiata
Annual legume native to East Asia, cultivated for its small highly nutritious green seeds. Compact plant with ternate leaves and yellow flowers producing pods full of mung beans.
Sow in spring in well-drained soil. Water moderately, avoiding waterlogging. Needs 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Harvest pods when brown, approximately 60-70 days after sowing.
