Annual or biennial herbaceous plant from South America with thin stems and purple violet flowers arranged in spikes. Ideal for gardens, pots and borders with abundant summer flowering.
Grow in direct sunlight with excellent drainage. Water moderately, allowing soil to dry between waterings. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming. Protect from frost.
