Verbascum phoeniceum
Biennial or perennial plant of medium size with intensely purple flowers arranged in dense spikes. Native to the Mediterranean, it is very hardy and adapted to dry soils.
Grow in sunny locations with excellent drainage. Requires minimal watering once established. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming. Resistant to drought and pests.
