Veltheimia bracteata
South African bulbous plant with tubular red-orange flowers grouped in dense inflorescences. It blooms during winter and spring, providing color when other plants are dormant.
Plant in well-drained soil, water moderately during flowering and reduce water in summer. Prefers cool locations and partial shade. Propagate by bulblets after flowering.
