Tradescantia pallida
Plant with intensely purple leaves and small violet flowers. Grows quickly and is ideal for ground cover or containers.
Place Tradescantia pallida in a spot with direct sunlight for at least 5-6 hours a day, as good light intensity enhances its characteristic purple foliage. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Do not expose it to temperatures below 5 °C, as it is not frost-hardy; in cold climates, bring it indoors during winter. Use a well-draining substrate and apply a light fertilizer in spring to support its fast growth.
