Trachelospermum jasminoides
Vigorous climbing vine with very fragrant white star-shaped flowers. The leaves take on purple tones in winter. Fast growth and adaptable to various conditions.
Trachelospermum jasminoides needs between 5 and 10 hours of direct sunlight per day and a support structure (trellis, pergola or wall) to climb, as it can reach up to 15 metres in height. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and use well-drained soil to prevent root suffocation. It is frost-hardy down to -5 °C, so it can overwinter outdoors in Mediterranean climates without special protection. It blooms in summer with highly fragrant white flowers; prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage growth.
