Thymus vulgaris
Culinary and aromatic herb, very easy to grow.
Thyme needs between 5 and 10 hours of direct sunlight daily and a well-drained, preferably light or sandy substrate, as it is very sensitive to excess moisture. Water sparingly and allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, since it tolerates drought far better than overwatering. It is a hardy plant that withstands frosts down to -15 °C, making it ideal for outdoor Mediterranean and continental gardens. Plant it in spring or autumn and prune it lightly after flowering to keep it compact and vigorous.
