Broad-leaved Thyme

Thymus pulegioides

Description

Low thyme with broader leaves and pink flowers. Very resistant and aromatic, ideal for rock gardens.

Growing tips

Broad-leaved thyme requires full sun (at least 6 hours per day) and a well-drained, preferably sandy or stony substrate, as it is very sensitive to excess moisture. Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially during winter. It is very hardy and tolerates frost down to -10 °C, so no winter protection is needed outdoors. Plant it in spring or autumn in rock gardens, slopes or outdoor planters to make the most of its fragrance and pink summer flowers.
