Growing tips

Dark germander is a very hardy Mediterranean shrub that requires full sun exposure (at least 5 hours per day) and a well-drained substrate, preferably calcareous or stony. Watering should be infrequent, as it tolerates drought very well and excess moisture can rot the roots. It withstands hard frosts down to -12 °C, making it ideal for outdoor gardens with no special winter protection needed. Bear in mind that it is a toxic plant, so handle it with care and keep it away from children and pets.
