Sesleria autumnalis
Semi-deciduous grass with dark green leaves that turn bronze in summer. Very resistant to drought and poor soils.
Sesleria autumnalis is a very hardy and easy-to-grow ornamental grass: plant it outdoors in a spot with direct sunlight, at least 4-6 hours per day. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, as it tolerates drought and poor soils well. It withstands hard frosts (down to -16 °C), so no winter protection is needed in most Mediterranean climates. Cut back old foliage in late winter to encourage fresh new growth in spring.
