Sempervivum tectorum
Robust succulent plant with fleshy leaves grouped in compact rosettes. Summer flowering with very decorative pale pink flowers.
Sempervivum tectorum needs full sunlight (at least 6 hours per day) and a very well-drained substrate, ideally mixed with sand or gravel, as it is a succulent that does not tolerate excess moisture at the roots. Water sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter. It is very hardy and withstands temperatures down to -15 °C, making it ideal for Mediterranean outdoor gardens, terraces, and, given sufficient light, indoors as well. Planting is recommended in spring or autumn.
