Scilla peruviana
Scilla with blue flowers grouped in very striking dense pyramids. Robust plant that tolerates dry soils and summer drought well.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a full sun location with at least 6 hours of daily light, in well-drained soil as the plant is very sensitive to excess moisture. Water moderately during spring and reduce watering in summer when the plant goes dormant, taking advantage of its good drought tolerance. Hardy down to -5 °C, it is ideal for Mediterranean outdoor gardens; keep in mind that it is toxic and contact with children and pets should be avoided.
