Ruscus aculeatus
Slow-growing evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean, with leathery leaves transformed into green cladodes. It produces discrete white flowers and bright red berries.
Tolerates drought and poor soils well. Prefers semi-shaded locations. Does not require regular pruning. Resistant to cold and diseases.
