Creeping Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis var. prostratus

Description

Prostrate Mediterranean rosemary with blue flowers, excellent aromatic groundcover and very drought resistant.

Growing tips

Creeping rosemary needs full sun exposure, with at least 6-7 hours of direct sunlight per day, and a well-drained substrate, preferably sandy or stony. Water very sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as it is highly drought-tolerant and suffers from excess moisture. It withstands frosts down to -10°C, but avoid spots where water accumulates in winter. It is ideal as a ground cover in Mediterranean gardens and outdoor terraces.
