Poa compressa
Compact ornamental grass with gray-green foliage that forms dense mats. Ideal for dry gardens and xeriscaping.
Poa compressa requires an outdoor location with direct sunlight, ideally between 4.5 and 10 hours per day, as it is not suitable for indoor growing. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, especially in summer; it becomes very drought-tolerant once established. Plant it in spring or autumn in well-drained soil, as it withstands hard frosts down to -15 °C and adapts perfectly to Mediterranean climates. It is an easy-care grass that forms compact, grey-green mats of 20–45 cm in height, ideal for xeriscaping and slopes.
