Herbaceous perennial from Asia with bell-shaped flowers in blue, pink or white colors that develop from characteristic balloon-like buds. Summer blooming of great beauty that attracts pollinators.
Requires full sun and well-drained soil. Water moderately, avoiding waterlogging. Sow seeds in spring or plant rhizomes. No regular pruning needed. Frost-resistant and can grow for successive years in the same location.
