Growing tips

The Pistacia khinjuk is a medium-sized tree that requires full sun exposure (between 7 and 12 hours a day) and is highly drought-tolerant, so water it very sparingly —especially once established—, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Plant it preferably in autumn or spring in well-drained soil, as it does not tolerate waterlogging. It is a hardy tree that withstands temperatures down to -10 °C, making it ideal for outdoor Mediterranean gardens and dry climates; it is not suitable for indoor cultivation.
