Phacelia tanacetifolia
Annual herbaceous plant native to California with attractive blue-violet flowers in spikes. Highly popular among beekeepers as an excellent nectar plant.
Sow directly in soil in spring or autumn. Requires full sun and well-drained soil. Keep moisture moderate during germination. Does not need abundant fertilizer. Very drought-tolerant once established.
