White Passion Flower

Passiflora morifolia

Description

Climbing plant with exotic white flowers featuring a characteristic crown. Produces edible fruits and grows vigorously.

Growing tips

Passiflora morifolia needs an outdoor location with 6-9 hours of direct sunlight per day and a sturdy support structure (trellis, pergola or espalier) to climb, as it can reach up to 4 metres in height. Water moderately, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and use well-draining soil to prevent issues caused by excess moisture. It is a hardy plant that tolerates down to -8 °C, making it well suited to Mediterranean climates without the need for winter protection in most areas. Be aware of its mild toxicity if children or pets are present nearby.
