The Passion Flower needs 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day and an outdoor spot with a climbing support such as a pergola or trellis, as it can reach 2 to 4 metres in height. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and use well-draining soil to prevent waterlogging. It is frost-hardy down to -5 °C, making it well suited to Mediterranean winters without special protection. Plant it in spring or autumn, and keep it out of reach of children and pets as it has mild toxicity.
