Papaver orientale
Herbaceous perennial plant with large showy flowers of intense red color with black blotches in the center. Ideal for cut flower gardens and borders.
Needs direct sunlight and well-drained soil. Water moderately without wetting the foliage. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Drought-tolerant once established.
