Opuntia phaeacantha
Bushy cactus native to the Sonora Desert with ovate pads covered in spines. It produces yellow flowers and edible magenta fruits.
Requires direct sunlight and excellent drainage. Water occasionally in spring-summer, almost never in winter. Drought and frost resistant.
