Morus alba var. pendula
Deciduous tree that produces edible white mulberries. It grows quickly and is very resistant to difficult conditions.
The weeping white mulberry needs an outdoor location with direct sun for at least 6 hours a day and enough space, as it can reach up to 10 metres in height. Watering should be moderate, allowing the soil to partially dry out between waterings, especially during autumn and winter when the tree sheds its leaves. It is very frost-hardy, tolerating temperatures down to -12 °C, so no winter protection is needed in Mediterranean or temperate climates. Plant it in autumn or spring in well-drained soil and enjoy very easy maintenance thanks to its exceptional hardiness.
