Growing tips

The Florida Privet (Ligustrum sinense) is an easy-to-grow shrub that requires an outdoor location with direct sunlight, ideally between 5 and 12 hours of sun per day. Water it with moderate frequency, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, and plant it in spring or autumn in well-drained soil. It tolerates temperatures down to -10 °C, making it perfectly suited to Mediterranean climates and areas with occasional frost. Bear in mind that it is a toxic plant, so avoid contact with the black berries and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
