Lavandula alba
White variant of lavender with relaxing and anti-inflammatory properties. Ideal for essential oil production and cosmetic use.
White lavender requires full sun exposure (at least 6-7 hours daily) and well-drained soil, preferably chalky or sandy, as it is very sensitive to excess moisture. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter. It is a hardy plant that tolerates hard frosts down to -15 °C, making it ideal for outdoor Mediterranean gardens with no need for winter protection. Prune lightly after the summer flowering period to maintain a compact shape and encourage new growth the following year.
