Jasminum azoricum
Portuguese Jasmine Semi-evergreen jasmine with small white flowers that are extremely fragrant. Nearly continuous flowering during warm months.
Portuguese Jasmine needs an outdoor location with direct sunlight, ideally between 5 and 8 hours per day, as it is not suitable for indoors. Water it moderately, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, especially in winter. It is a climbing plant that can reach 350 cm in height, so it requires a support or trellis to grow on. It tolerates temperatures down to -5 °C, making it quite hardy for Mediterranean climates, and it blooms profusely from spring through autumn, filling the air with its intense fragrance.
