Trailing herbaceous plant that produces edible underground tubers with sweet orange flesh. Important crop in warm zones with tropical and subtropical climate.
Requires warm climate, soil rich in organic matter well-drained and moderate watering. Plant between April and June. Harvest after 3-4 months when leaves begin to yellow.
