Hypericum perforatum
Traditional medicinal plant for mild depression and wound healing.
St. John's Wort is a hardy, easy-to-grow plant that needs an outdoor location with direct sunlight for at least 5 hours a day. Water sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out well between waterings, as it tolerates drought but not excess moisture. It withstands very low temperatures (down to -20 °C) and adapts perfectly to Mediterranean climates. Bear in mind that it can cause mild toxicity, particularly photosensitisation upon skin contact.
