Hypericum calycinum subsp. sempervirens
Persistent climbing vine with bright yellow flowers. Very rustic and adapted to Mediterranean climate with low watering needs.
The climbing St. John's Wort needs an outdoor location with direct sunlight, ideally between 4 and 9 hours a day, and thrives in Mediterranean climates. Watering should be infrequent, as it tolerates drought very well; water only when the substrate is completely dry. It is very hardy and withstands frosts down to -10 °C, so no special winter protection is needed. Plant it in spring or autumn in well-drained soil and provide a support structure for it to climb.
