Helictotrichon sempervirens
Ornamental grass with blue-gray foliage that forms compact clumps. Perfect for contemporary and rocky gardens.
Helictotrichon sempervirens needs a full-sun position with at least 6 hours of direct light per day, in well-drained, low-fertility soil; avoid wet or compacted soils. Watering should be minimal, especially once established, as it is highly drought-tolerant. It is very hardy and withstands temperatures down to -18 °C, so no winter protection is needed. Plant it in spring or autumn and cut back the old foliage in late winter to encourage fresh, vigorous new growth.
