Italian Everlasting

Helichrysum italicum

Description

Plant with intense aroma of turmeric and honey. Gray-green leaves and yellow flowers resistant to extreme drought.

Growing tips

Helichrysum italicum requires full sun exposure, with a minimum of 7 hours of direct sunlight per day, whether grown indoors or outdoors. Water very sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, as it is highly drought-tolerant and does not tolerate excess moisture. Use a well-drained substrate, ideally mixed with sand or grit, to prevent waterlogging in compacted or heavy soils. It is a hardy plant that withstands frost down to -8 °C and is best planted in spring or autumn.
