Helianthus annuus
Annual heliotropic plant with large yellow flowers that follow the sun. Its fruits contain edible seeds rich in oils.
Requires direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Water regularly but let soil dry between waterings. Plant in well-draining soil and fertilize monthly during flowering.
