Hybrid Gladiolus

Gladiolus × hybridus

Description

Summer bulb with vertical inflorescences of large flowers in various colors. Essential for bouquets and floral decoration.

Growing tips

Plant the corms in spring in an outdoor spot with full sun exposure (at least 6-7 hours of direct sunlight) and in a well-drained substrate to prevent rot. Water moderately, keeping the soil slightly moist but never waterlogged, especially during summer growth and flowering. As it is not frost-hardy and requires a minimum temperature of 10 °C, dig up the corms in autumn and store them in a dry, cool place over winter. Bear in mind that it has mild toxicity, so handle them with care if children or pets are nearby.
