Genista tinctoria
Deciduous shrub from the Fabaceae family, native to central and southern Europe, with bright yellow flowers. Historically used to dye textiles yellow and green colors.
Prefers well-drained soils and sunny positions. Requires little watering once established. Tolerates droughts and is very frost-hardy. Light pruning after flowering.
