Gazania rigens
Ground cover plant with bright flowers that open in the sun.
Gazania needs between 6 and 10 hours of direct sunlight per day for its flowers to open fully; always plant it outdoors in a sunny spot. Water sparingly and allow the substrate to dry out between waterings, as it tolerates drought well and dislikes excess moisture. Use a light, well-draining substrate, such as a mix with sand or perlite. It is not frost-hardy, so in cold climates move it indoors or protect it if temperatures drop below 0 °C.
