Japanese Climbing Euonymus

Euonymus japonicus 'Climbing'

Description

Evergreen climbing plant with shiny dark green leaves. Perfect for covering walls and fences, very resistant and low maintenance.

Growing tips

Plant the climbing Japanese euonymus in an outdoor spot with direct sun, ensuring 4 to 8 hours of light per day; it thrives in Mediterranean climates and is frost-hardy down to -8°C without any issues. Watering should be infrequent, allowing the substrate to dry out well between waterings, as it tolerates drought very well once established. Use a well-draining substrate and take advantage of spring or autumn for planting, when temperatures are milder. It has mild toxicity, so avoid contact with the sap if you have children or pets, and guide it towards walls or fences where it can climb to its full height of 4-12 metres.
