Echeveria pulvinata
Echeveria with velvety leaves of reddish color. The rosettes take on purple tones in the sun and bloom with orange bell-shaped flowers.
Echeveria pulvinata needs between 6 and 12 hours of direct sunlight per day so that its velvety leaves develop their characteristic purple hues; place it in a very bright spot both indoors and outdoors. Water it very sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, as it is a succulent that stores water and excess moisture can cause root rot. Use a well-draining substrate, ideally a cactus and succulent mix, and make sure the pot has drainage holes. It tolerates light frosts down to -2 °C, but it is advisable to protect it if temperatures drop significantly or the cold spell lasts long.
