Dionaea muscipula
Carnivorous plant native to the wetlands of North Carolina, with leaves that snap shut rapidly to trap insects. A fascinating but demanding species to cultivate.
Keep soil constantly moist with distilled or rainwater. Requires abundant sunlight and winter dormancy periods. Avoid fertilizers and do not touch the traps unnecessarily.
