Dianthus chinensis
Compact carnation with aromatic flowers in various colors. Ideal for gardens and planters.
The China pink needs 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day to bloom abundantly from spring through autumn. Water it moderately, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Plant it in well-drained soil, preferably in autumn or spring, in outdoor Mediterranean-climate settings; it withstands temperatures down to -5 °C without issue. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous and long-lasting blooming.
