Cooper's ice plant

Delosperma cooperi

Description

Succulent groundcover with elongated green leaves. Abundant summer flowering with large magenta flowers that lasts for months.

Growing tips

Delosperma cooperi requires full sun exposure (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day) and a very well-drained, sandy or gravelly substrate, as it is a succulent sensitive to excess moisture. Water sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter. It withstands frost down to -10 °C, making it ideal for outdoor settings in Mediterranean climates without any winter protection. It is an easy-to-grow plant that covers the ground with abundant magenta flowers throughout summer and autumn.
