Coum Cyclamen

Cyclamen coum

Description

Small winter bulb with pink flowers and attractive variegated leaves. Ideal for partial shade areas in Mediterranean gardens.

Growing tips

Plant the bulb in autumn in a well-drained substrate rich in organic matter, in a semi-shade location receiving between 2 and 6 hours of light per day. Water moderately during its winter and early-spring flowering period, reducing watering in summer when the plant goes dormant. It is highly frost-resistant, tolerating temperatures down to -20 °C, making it ideal for Mediterranean outdoor gardens, though it can also be grown indoors in a cool, bright spot. Keep in mind that it is a toxic plant, so it should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
