Zucchini needs full sunlight (at least 6 hours per day) and frequent, abundant watering, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Plant it in spring once temperatures are reliably above 10 °C, as it does not tolerate frost. Use a fertile, organic-rich and well-drained soil, and allow enough space since it can spread up to 150 cm wide.
