Crocus flavus
Early crocus with bright yellow flowers. Miniature plant ideal for rock gardens and naturalizations in Mediterranean gardens.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a spot with direct sun (at least 6 hours per day) and in well-drained soil, as Crocus flavus requires little watering and is very sensitive to excess moisture. Once established, it is very hardy and withstands temperatures down to -15 °C without any special protection. Allow the foliage to die back naturally after the spring flowering so the bulb can recharge for the following season. It is ideal for rock gardens and Mediterranean outdoor settings.
