Coriander

Coriandrum sativum

Description

Annual herb with intense aroma. It is cultivated for both leaves and seeds.

Growing tips

Coriander needs an outdoor spot with direct sunlight, at least 5-6 hours per day, and moderate watering: keep the soil slightly moist but avoid waterlogging. Plant it in spring or autumn in a light, well-drained substrate, as it does not tolerate frost and suffers below 0 °C. In hot weather it tends to bolt quickly, so if you are growing it for its leaves, choose a spot with some protection from the midday sun to extend the harvest.
