Cleistocactus strausii
Columnar cylindrical cactus with white spines giving it a silvery appearance. Produces bright red flowers that open during the day.
Sporadic watering in summer, almost none in winter. Needs direct sunlight and good drainage. Tolerates low temperatures but not frost.
