The orange tree needs between 6 and 10 hours of direct sunlight per day outdoors, as it is not suitable for indoor growing. Water it moderately, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and use a well-draining, slightly acidic soil mix. Since it is frost-sensitive (tolerating down to -2 °C only briefly), protect it during intense cold spells, especially when young. Plant it in spring to take advantage of mild weather and encourage good root establishment.
