The lemon tree needs between 6 and 10 hours of direct sunlight per day and should be planted outdoors in a well-sunny spot, as it is not suitable for indoors. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. As it is sensitive to frost, protect it when temperatures approach -2 °C by covering it or moving the pot to a sheltered location. Use a rich, well-draining substrate, ideally formulated for citrus trees, and fertilize regularly during spring and autumn, when it is in bloom.
