Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'
Tall and slender grass with pink plumes that turn bronze in winter. Very attractive throughout all four seasons.
Plant Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' in a spot with direct sun (at least 6 hours a day) and in well-drained soil; it tolerates a wide range of soil types. Water at a moderate frequency, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, especially in winter. It is very hardy and withstands temperatures down to -19 °C without special protection. In early spring, cut the plant back almost to ground level to encourage vigorous new growth for the coming season.
