Compact shrub ideal for topiary with small glossy leaves. Grows slowly and can be easily pruned.
Small-leaved Box needs between 4 and 10 hours of direct sunlight per day and moderate watering, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root suffocation. Plant it in well-drained soil and outdoors only, as it is not suitable for indoor growing; it is frost-hardy down to -15 °C, making it a very tough shrub. Prune it in spring or autumn to maintain the topiary shape, and keep in mind that it is toxic, so contact with children and animals should be avoided.
